The infamous liver punch. This fierce attack is one of the most painful experience that sooner or later all full contact fighters experience. In Combat Muay Boran the liver punch is applied both as an offensive and a defensive technique according to the situation.

When you are struck with a powerful liver punch, you experience an almost unbearable pain that forces you to bend down and stop fighting, at least for a few seconds. Combat Muay Boran practitioners know this well and apply this technique whenever possible.

In offensive mode, the Combat Muay Boran boxer throws a few lackluster punches to the head with the sole aim of diverting the opponent’s attention. As soon as the opponent raises his guard leaving his midsection exposed he attacks with a full power uppercut punch to the liver.
