What

Muay Wanorn fighters imitates some of the characteristics of real monkeys, one of them being the ability to roll effortlessly on the ground. The ability to roll on one’s back is used in this technique to execute a forceful front kick and a sacrifice throw at the same time.

Why

A sacrifice throw is sometimes used to accentuate the opponent’s fall by voluntarily going to the ground first. The Wanorn boxer goes to the ground with a controlled back fall while the opponent is flipped and thrown heavily onto the ground.

How

As soon as the Muay Wanorn fighter gets hold of the opponent’s arms, wrists or neck, he falls on his back while throwing a short front kick to the lower abdomen or groin. By pulling with his arms and pushing with his leg, he lifts the opponent and forces him to fall forward.
