Many Muay Sakon Boran fighting strategies are as old as the human race. Attacking the opponent’s eyes to render him helpless is a proven tactic in combat, both with bare-hands and with swords, daggers and knives.

Why

When the enemy cannot see he surely cannot fight. Punching or stabbing the eyes is one of the best ways to destroy him and Muay Sakon fighters know it well.

How

This Muay Sakon tactic is best applied when the opponent is starting his attack (be it a punch, kick, knee or grab). Parry or slip the attack and simultaneously throw a straight punch to the eye. Follow up with head punches, groin kicks or knees, elbow strikes.
